Banners and Blogs

So I changed the name of the blog. Thoughts? I've always thought the old title was way too long.

Pretty soon our family will attend my grandmother's 90th birthday. Luke is in charge of decorations.

He worked really hard on his banner.

Isn't it beautiful? I couldn't fit the entire banner in the frame but it is huge. I wonder how much tape we'll need to display this beauty.

And today Luke apparently has the stomach flu. In mid June. Seriously? After a couple of episodes this morning he seems to be feeling much better. Praying this is short lived and not communicable.

After I changed the blog header last night, the blog did some very strange things and I was afraid some posts were ruined. And I panicked a little, thinking I'd lost some memories. Thankfully a refresh corrected the problem. But the incident got me thinking I really do want a hard copy of our blog. Have any of you readers printed your blogs? Any recommendations? How much work was it? I expect a flood of comments from you three readers.

I have put years 2006 and 2007 into book form. Yes, it was time consuming, but totally worth it! I haven't done 2008 yet because it is MUCH longer than 2006 and 2007. 2006 has about 35 pages and cost about 30 dollars...2007 has 115 pages and cost about 40 dollars. I used "blurb" but I also know that blog2book (or blog2print) is also good. The reason it is taking so long is because I am moving pictures around and editing the pages. my girls LOVE LOVE LOVE looking at the books. I got both in hardback...I figured they could take wear and tear better than paperback. I am so glad that i took the time to do this. I know in 20 years I will be thankful for these memories (aka-baby books, I stink at keeping an actual baby book!). Let me know if you choose to do it!

I did both Jack's blog and Tyler's blog from inception to 12/09 and it was a BREEZE!!!! I used Blog2Print and I LOVE them so much! I got the hardbacked ones as well. You are more than welcome to stop by and check them out sometime! Do it!!!

I guess I'm your third reader :). I haven't put mine into book form but keep debating it. I know a friend from LU with a blog who used blog2print and she liked the result. She's linked on my blog - Jennifer Senn. She posted a couple of pics of the book she got not too long ago.

Actually, you may have more than three because you forgot to count me. This is my first comment, but I wanted to tell you that I have been reading for several months now. I encourage you to keep blogging because you have no idea the impact your words may have or why. I love the new name for your blog!
