time for more singing

We had an unfortunate accident last week when Lamar accidentally ruined some footage of Luke singing. It truly seemed like a mechanical malfunction or we're both techno idiots, which is completely possible. I'm sure any parent is protective of video of their child singing, but we think ours is down right miraculous. So we've both been diligent at capturing Luke's singing on video this week.

Here's Luke singing Jesus Loves Me with Mommy recording. He loves to do the signs with the chorus.

I tried to insert some video Lamar shot here, but it failed twice. It's really funny, so I haven't given up yet.

Luke's doing well and really loving life lately. We went to the zoo on a beautiful Wednesday afternoon. He definitely enjoyed it more this time, I'm sure in part because he knew what to expect. He asked to go into the meerkat tunnel, alligator house thingy and loved the aquarium/reptile house all of which scared him last time. It was neat comparing his language last trip and this trip. We can see improvement in just those few weeks. My camera battery died at the first exhibit in the aquarium though. Such a rookie mistake!

Lovin' the fish. Last photo before the dead battery.

The highlight of the trip for Luke was seeing the elephant poop. If you ask him what the elephant did he'll say, "Elephant poop on the grass!" Nice.

Grandma and Grandpa visited last week for a couple of nights. Luke really enjoyed their visit, particularly playing with his grandma. Luke and Grandma are a pretty animated pair and it was fun watching him feed off of her enthusiasm. He said, "Hey Grandma!" about a hundred times and "Grandma, all done talking." so she would pay attention to him.

We've just started another round of yeast treatment. My hope is it will help with Luke's stimming and fidgetiness (I may have just made of that word.) We'll see. My challenge now is just getting him to swallow it.
